Intuit stopped selling new Desktop Plus subscriptions in 2024. Desktop 2022 lost all support including payroll tax tables, bank feeds, and security patches, in May 2025. Pricing increased significantly in early 2026, with Pro Plus rising to $1,149/year and Premier Plus to $1,609/year. Intuit's direction is clear: QBO is the future.
